2026–27 Game Schedule Released
Ten games are on the calendar from October to March, including five home games at the Miskin Law Community Complex. The season opens at home on Sunday, October 18 against Durham.
The Kawartha Blazers were established in 1989, originally organized and sponsored by Five Counties Children's Centre. In 1998 the players' parents took over and created the association as a registered charity: a community-run club that has thrived ever since.
Based at the Miskin Law Community Complex in Peterborough, the Blazers welcome players aged 6 and up from Peterborough City and County and the City of Kawartha Lakes. As an inclusive club, able-bodied players are also welcome when space allows.
Our mission: To give children, youth and adults with physical disabilities in Peterborough, Peterborough County and the City of Kawartha Lakes the opportunity to play sledge hockey, building skills, confidence and friendships on the ice.

We're volunteer-driven and community-funded. Every dollar goes back into ice time, equipment, and player development.
From first-time players to competitive veterans. Junior and adult programs run throughout the season.
All programs practise Mondays 6:00–7:00 PM on the Russelle Toyota Pad at the Miskin Law Community Complex. New players get two free trial practices, with no commitment required. Sledges and equipment are provided by the club.
Our entry-level program focused on player development and recreational play. A great starting point for new players of all abilities.
Competitive non-contact play for athletes aged 15 and up. Regional competition with a focus on skill development and team play.
Full contact competitive sledge hockey for athletes 15 and up. Our most competitive program, with regional and provincial play.
Team rosters and player information are shared privately with players and families through TeamSnap.
